Lawrence,

I agree with Ace that the most likely reason could be that it is taking time for the nardil to build back in your system to its previous levels. How long were you off it for? Last weekend I was off it for three days, and have been back on it since Tuesday, but do not feel the same benefits I was feeling before the weekend - (probably because i drank a lot over the weekend - stupid of me!)

I disagree with Ace on the reality of the poop out effect. It's been documented, and personally I can attest to having pooped out on Zoloft, Prozac, Effexor and Wellbutrin. That's what has led me to Nardil. Having said that, the poop out effect seems unlikely to explain what you are experiencing since you have been off your Nardil. It usually happens when you have been on a med for a long time without a break, and often people combat it by going off the med and then going back on.

Good luck,

Craig.

> I've been on and off Nardil for about 8 years and for some reason it just is not as good as it was before. I had to stop Nardil periodically because of minor surgery's. Could it be interacting with the Ritalin I am also taking? I have big time problems with word search. I am also a musician and since I have re-started Nardil, I have been having problems with note search. It has impaired my ability to play guitar and piano by ear. It actually seems to be slowing down my whole thought process and I think my friends are noticing. I could really use some advice on this. My cocktail is Nardil 90mg. Klonopin 2mg. and Ritalin 25mg. I check my BP regularly and it has never been high. If anything it has been low. All my Rx's were closely monitored and from one Pdoc. I did not combine these on my own. Lawrence S.

When a med poops-out a lot of the time people arent taking their doses regularly, they have only ever had a placebo response, they are expecting the drug to literally lift them off the bed, etc etc. First, how long have you been back on it? Remember it can take 8 weeks, and it is possible another med is interacting with it. Zyprexa thwarted my Nardil happiness, because it works somewhat opposite to Nardil. It had to go, cause nothing screws with my Nardil!
