I hadn't heard that argument before....

I believe that bromelain has anti-inflammatory effects that are not due to proteolysis.....I'd have to look that up, though. I just know it works (for me).

I probably have taken bromelain between meals, but I tend to take it half an hour after a meal. It works whenever I have taken it.
