hi there.

> Anyone know what 12.5 mg of Paxil CR is equal to in terms of regular Paxil?

i'm not sure if this will help, but i'm on 50mgs of the CR which is roughly 40mgs of the immediate release paxil. so.. 12.5 should equal a 10mg dose. 80%ish.

> I've been on 12.5 mg of Paxil for anxiety for 2 weeks now and not feeling any different. I'll speak to my doc on Friday. I have more depression since I went on this med than I had before.

when i first started the CR at 12.5mgs, i felt a *slight* sense of anxiety relief.. i was still having chest pain, but was able to sleep (paxil can be so sedating!) and wasn't feeling so edgy and overwhelmed. after 7 days, my dose increased to 25mgs, which is when i noticed a significant change in my anxiety levels.

in terms of depression, i think the paxil has helped, but i still cycle in and out of it, almost as if the paxil is merely stabilizing my depression. so.. i added wellbutrin SR three weeks ago to help in that department. i feel better, but not overwhelmingly so. i was a little aggitated at first, not so much these days. and, a huge plus - it pulls me out of my paxil haze in the morning. 100mgs and i'm set!

i hope this helps a little,
v.
