Is her condition being treated by a dermatologist? There are ear drops containing corticosteroids to reduce inflammation. Also, adding omega oil supplements can help with these skin disorders.

Be aware of any shampoos that may cause topical irritations, by running into the ear under the shower etc.

Also, some medications may worsen the problems, due to their skin-related side effects, eg, dryness etc.
