What you're feeling is completely typical. The first thing I notice when I go back on Parnate is a jittery, anxious feeling. It generally takes two to three weeks for me to feel my mood begin to lift. Give it a little time.

> i started Parnate last week. First day 20mg today. i think i am just as depressed and significantly more anxious. Is this typical? Is Parnate like many other antidepressants in that it can often make you feel worse for awhile before it starts to be effective? i feel like ****.
> So far it really resembles a stimulant feeling-- but more the come-down than the 'high'. i know Parnate is known for this, and that it can therefore cause anxiety at times. But in general, is it supposed to help with anxiety or does it aggravate it?
