These SE's usually go away after 2-3 weeks.

I take Lex at 2-3PM and go to sleep easily at 11PM, sleep soundly, or if I wake during the night I fall back asleep easily. I have been quite the insomniac for most of my life, and had trouble sleeping during the first few weeks of taking Lex, BUT NOT ANYMORE - THANK YOU LEXAPRO!!!

I found myself feeling tired too, but if I forced myself to get going, the feeling went away and I actually got energized.

I did not begin feeling any benefits from Lex until week 9. Six weeks may not be long enough.

Can't speak from personal experience on this one, but have read many posts here about Wellbutrin as a possible solution. Additionally, many have posted that this SE also subsides with time.

Hang in there and give the meds a chance, and there are lots of caring people here to give you support and encouragement.

BEST OF LUCK to you!
