I hope somebody has something to offer, but FWIW, from what I understand LSD obviously isn't the *same* as Effexor chemically. They *do* share an affinity for the 5-HT2 receptor (as an agonist). I don't know which subtype(s). There are lots of medications (legal and illegal) that have some common mechanisms of action.
