LOL you're funny. I guess my timing was good since you seem to be online at the same time and I have questions you can relate to.-Good LOL
I am on Lamictal now at 50mg at night. I guess I'll see what my pdoc says about this all on Friday. That's why I was wondering if I stop the Effexor, stay on the Lamictal and try Wellbutrin it may be a good combo for me. But again, it will take time and patience. I have never been on Wellbutrin, like I said, and get a little scared when starting a new med. But I am definately thinking about Wellbutrin, as it seems to be winning the competition compared to Celexa.
I was just reading about the heart palpitations and anxiety one can encounter on Wellbutrin.
Oh man, right now I'm on both Effexor and Lamictal-thought it was working, but I truly believe I have better options here.
Time to take a nap!!!
Take Care and thanks so much :-)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> Hi again! You're asking about meds I've either heard of, know people who are on, or have been on myself!

> Wellbutrin - different from other a-d's because it acts primarily on DOPAMINE, not serotonin. It can be activating, give heart palpitations and cause anxiety, BUT my own father and a good friend of mine have had EXCELLENT results with it.

> Lamictal - I've tried it twice - didn't do anything for me. Very important that you start on a LOW, I mean reeeeeeeeeal low dose and titrate up very slowly because it can cause a life-threatening rash if started too high, and gone up too fast. I started at 2mg/day, and could only tolerate 100mg/day - first time just didn't seem to make any difference, second time got me jittery and anxious (but may have been interacting badly with EffexorXR I was taking).
