Hi, thought you might be interested.

I participated in the pre-fda trial of nemifitide, and had zero side effects. It's results seem to be encouraging. Approx. 50% efficacy in refractory depression, and I understood these to be patients with "high" Ham-D scores (30-50'ish) which, is amazing.

I won't go into the protocol, or specific details of the study, due to non-disclosure issues, typical, as you know to pre-approved meds.
The study was still taking new subjects as of 3 months ago (approx.) I don't know if it's still open, mine was in S.D. Calif. (contact Innapharma for info.)

Unfortunately, I was one who had no clinical response (didn't work for me). However, those following the board, know how individual chemistry varies, and I seem to be a statistical anomaly regarding efficacy of meds, so stay optimistic about it. Fellow subjects had wonderful results.

As for my med history, etc. I've gone through 29 + med trials, including non-AD's that have been shown (or believed) to have AD effects. All of these have been augmented extensively, having only one 100% response, which, lasted 10 days, (SSRI poopout.) This has been over a period of 15-17 years. ECT is the next step, (already investigated rTMS, VNS.)

I've never posted here before, but have read fairly regularly over the last 5-7 years. I felt the limited info regarding nemifitide, and my insight via the trial might be helpful to some, and perhaps be the proverbial 'carrot on the end of the stick' to those who are exhausted. I've also noticed that perceived severity and toleration of side-effects is relative to the duration and degree of the illness, which may be helpful. <shrug>

P.S. If I don't reply promptly (or ever) it's nothing personal, just illness. However, I'll make every effort to do so. (excluding trial details, of course.) Sorry, for the length, but trying to be thorough.

Hang in there everyone; if I have, anyone can.

:o ) AKA
