When I was first put on an antipsychotic agent, I was mostly anxiety-free for six months. Then I slowly became anxious again. Now, despite being on a medium-high dose of Geodon, and an SSRI, I am very anxious almost all the time. So, AP's are definitely not an effective treatment for my anxiety. An AP may be worth trying though--you might react differently. I hope this helps.
