Hi Ace,
I took anafranil years 8 years ago and I was on it for just over 2 1/2 years. For me it was great. My only side affect was that I gained 30lbs on it(which I have never lost). For the first time in years I felt "normal". I haven't heard of any taking it for so long now that I wasn't even sure it was around any more.
I went off the anafranil and was drug free for about 8 months when I crashed. My new Dr. put me on Paxil. I did great on it as well, I recently switch to effexor to try and lose both my babies weight and my meds weight. I never was really happy with the effexor but have been coping. However I recently had a huge anxiety attack and now am going back to the Dr. to reevaluate meds again.
