I took Efixxor for nearly three years, starting from the lowest and increasing to the highest dosage. I have been weaning myself for the past 6 weeks, gradually. I have experienced tremmors at night and cry very easily. I can honestly say that the medicine seemed to help me during the itme I took it. However, now that the medicine is passing out of my syestem, I also feel better than I have felt for a while, notwithstanding the side affects of getting off. Another month and I should be okay. You say you wanted to switch to Prosac because of what you heard about Efixxor. Before Effixor, I took Zoloft, and I absolutely hated the Zoloft so they switched me to Effixor. I think it just depends on the person and how his/her body reacts to the medicine.

Good luck.
