I have two experiences to share that might help. I have a mood disorder and have taken Wellbutrin off and on, however I can no longer tolerate it, it gives me intense anxiety and disphoria. My husband also tried taking Wellbutrin, but I experienced hime as very moody and really irritable on it. He could try effexor but it has attendcy to dull the emotions quite a bit, I hated when my husband was on it because he didn't seem to care about anything. I am very sensitive as well and I understand how it feels to want to fix the situation. Try to help your husband but to not to solve everything it will only cause both of you grief
Best of luck
