Remeron is the *topper* of weight gain for me. When I was on it the first time I had to shop for new pants twice! But, I KNOW why I gained the weight-I couldn't stay out of the refrigerator. No mysterious metabolic issues. Do you find that Remeron has you "grazing" in the fridge? Can you say unequivocably that Zoloft worked the best for your anxiety than any other med you have taken? It would be a real drag if you ditched your favorite anx. med and it wasn't the one causing the weight gain! Anything can happen with weight issues. I thought Depakote was a problem generally, but only at 500mg or more a day, otherwise I am just seeing about 5 lbs of extra weight at most.
