Seroquel+adderall for worry/anxiety/dysphoria

Posted by Joel on December 5, 2002, at 23:06:19

Ive been on countless drugs for the past 3 and a half years trying to find the right thing for me. I usually get really bad responses to them at extremely low doses. And honestly I dont even know what I have wrong with me, every single diagnosis fits me in a lot of different ways.

I was taking low dose adderall+ritalin (not on a daily basis, id freak whenever i tried) to help me focus with 100mg of wellbutrin and 100mg of 5-htp. I wanted to stop the wellbutrin after I lost 40 pounds (I needed it) and quit smoking. It just wasnt working the same way it used to either.

Ive always had problems sleeping too, so my doctor gave me some samples of seroquel (25mg) and told me it would help. Well sure enough, the stuff put me out instantly into a soft dreamy state which didnt feel anything like a benzo but much better to me. Waking up was a pain in the ass, but as the day went by i noticed that I felt different. I didnt seem to mind doing things I hated before, like going to public places. Also things just didnt seem to irritate me or worry me like they used to.

Well when I stated taking the adderall and ritalin with it, I REALLY noticed some great effects.

With a 10mg ritalin twice a day I get a very clean feeling inside, and I feel like I want to tackle the day. Not too euphoric, more of a comfortable, clean, confident, satisfied and ready for more feeling.

The 10mg adderall gives me more energy than the ritalin, and the same confidence. 20mg goes a little farther. It turns the part of my brain that worries back on, except it seems to anticipate and plan instead of worry. As the seroquel wears off in the evening the anxiety doesnt really come back, its followed by a feeling of... well... a euphoric buzz. I can tell its a dopamine rush from how it feels, but it doesnt feel like a drug. It feels 100% natural, like a kid on christmas morning(not quite, but close). Once the feeling wears off, I usually feel worn out, but still alright. By then its time for another seroquel, and the process repeats. So far after 3 weeks this has been the best thing thats ever happened to me.

If anyone else has had similar results with this combination, or even just with seroquel, it would be great to know.
