I feel for you. A small dose of Prozac is sometimes prescribed (it was for me) to offset the withdrawal symptoms. It's a mistake for most people to stop Effexor cold turkey. My Pdoc made a mistake when instructing me to do so a few years ago. She then used Prozac to take the edge off some of the agonizing symptoms. It did work. Perhaps you can ask your Pdoc for a sample ASAP. There's perhaps a breakdown in communication between you and your Pdoc, IMO. A ramp-down schedule should have been started before you ran out of samples, assuming the doctor knew you were unable to fund a prescription. Give her/him a call and let them know your symptoms ~ they can help!
