I quit EffexorXR cold turky four days ago because I could'nt afford to buy anymore and my doctor was out of samples. I have also been questioning Effexors effectiveness for me. I was taking 225mg of effexor and continue to take 900mg of lithium and .5mg Risperdal. At work today I experienced extreme fatigue as well as confusion, irritability and the "electric shocks." The latter of which I find most disturbing because once they start, they don't seem to stop. The jolts include dizzyness, blurred vision and distorted sounds. I was also terrifyingly irritable and upset. I work in customer service and its hard to be pleasant and smile when you feel like ripping your customer's face off. I can't take time off from work, even for a day, because of my desperate financial situation caused by my illness (bipolar disorder) but I also can't work while suffering these withdrawal symptoms. Does anyone have suggestions of how to make it bearable?
