I find Klonopin hugely beneficial for my social anxiety. I tried Neurontin with no benefit (and it started causing anorgasmia at the high doses).

I didn't give it a very long trial, though.

How long did it take to start working for you? Also, how much were you taking, and at what times?
Any side effects?
