The first time I tried an SSRI (Prozac)-I started off with a full 20mg capsule every morning. Well...within about 10-days I had dilated pupils, sweating, insomnia, and mild nighttime hallucinations, had to drop the dose back quite drastically-and then I was Ok. But, I am bipolar and in retrospect that doesn't surprise me considering all of the sensitivity reactions I have had with a lot of antidepressants. You just may need much reduced dosages and you will be OK.

It really scared me, especially after loosing my bowels and the horrid shaking. My pupils still dilate now and then even after a week and I'm NOT on anything but the Ativan and Gabitril. I am afraid to take my pain meds because the ER Doc said my reaction was due to the oxycodone. I thought she was being mean, because I do not abuse my pain meds and she was accusing me of being a druggie. I guess as it stands, there is nothing left for me to take as I don't do well on MAOI's either. I never want to go to the ER again.

I had Serotonin Syndrome about two years ago from a combination of Luxox and tegretol, which push each other. I was so ill, but the Dr on call just thought I had a high tegretol level, so he had the level checked, and it came back slightly elevated. In retrospect, I know I had Serotonin Syndrome, and was not treated for it, other than stopping the meds. What did they give you for it?
