> As previously mentioned, I have had a difficult time in filling my prescription of parnate. However, my pharmacy has called and now has it. I now am suppose to decide if I want to stay on moclobemide or go back to parnate. My dr. has left the choice to me. I had some insomnia and major weight loss on Parnate but I don't know if that had to do with my washout period from wellbutrin and serequel. Fortunately, moclobemide has few side effects for me but I feel like I've kinda hit a plateau...i feel no better or no worse. Please keep in mind I return to university in less than 3 weeks and I really don't want to be not sleeping or feeling terrible! Does anyone have any good info to help give me an informed decision? Thanks!
my thinking is... if you have bad depression and anxiety, go with the parnate... it is better studied/proven.. and even new info suggests moclobemide is less effective (though one might argue the studies used low dosages, i really can't say) ... if your case isn't too serious perhaps it would be worth risking losing some efficacy for less stringent diet restrictions
