Stupidly I dropped it twice because of weight pain before I knew I was treatment resistant. Since I was successful at 200, then 400, I am wondering if I will need up to 600mg this time.

Hi Shelli,
I've been on Lamictal 600 mg (120 lb female). There certainly is weight gain though it is not unmanageable with some dietary changes and exercise. It has helped with depression - but I think it's also had a very negative effect on cognition. I would dose up very very slowly and not go up that high (were I to do this again). The lack of sexual side effects is what makes this better than SSRIs. Which is good since you are not on an SSRI right now. But if you were to go to SSRIs you may want to rethink the use of lamictal.
