Hi - I was posting as Automated Lady but I had to change for privacy reasons... so this is me from now on!
thanks for getting back. Think there aren't many people on this board who've tried this med cos I know it's not available in the US.
I'm having a minor operation next week (under general) and I was told there'd be no problems with me being on this med... but then I looked it up and found that it's a really bad idea to be taking a tricyclic under general anaesthetic! Luckily, I haven't started taking it yet. So I'm gonna have another week of total misery and suicidal thoughts before there's even a start to me feeling better.. sorry, had to get that whinge in.
But, since you've taken it, did you ever drink alcohol with it? I'm just a about to start in a profession where having a few pints after work is basically part of the job, and I'm TERRIFIED about making friends anyway. If I drink with lofepramine will I end up on the floor after half a pint?..
