Just wanted to reply to John about the Risperdal which is an old anti-psychotic but is used now in lower doses than before. I am on a really, really low dose as I am sensitive to drugs and it takes me awhile to go thru the side effects etc..
I was started on Risperdal .25 for a month, now am up to .5 mg... I take it in the evening and I take the Celexa in the morning. I started on the 10 mg Celexa for two weeks, then 20, now 30 and will go up to 40 if I do well on it.
No problems except dry mouth at first with the Celexa and I am finally sleeping thru the night with the Risperdal and dont feel groggy in the morning. Of course my BiPolar II is not as bad as some and you will have to work with your pdocs..
