I started off at 5 mg then went up to 10mg. My family hated me on it...I was like a zombie. Even after being on it for months, and gaining serious weight, that drugged feeling never went away. I quit taking it because I have 3 kids and that's not a side effect I can deal with. I slept 11 or 12 hrs a night and when I finally woke up I was so groggy that the house looked terrible, I didn't care if my kids were in the house or in the road. I took 2 naps a day and went to bed just as soon as they did. I quit taking it and am now taking Tegretol. So far, no sleepiness.
