Ken, one of my sons tried adrafinil for a while but only a single dose once a day for an entire package. He thought he felt nauseated initially & stopped after the third day. Because he has mild IBS & often feels nauseated for diff reasons, I told him not to assume that adrafinil was causing his nausea. He had stopped for a week & then when I told him that, he started up again. No nausea came back. It may or may not have been related. He didn't want to increase it beyond one pill a day & he noticed no benefit so gave up.

I found that I need to take it between 1-2 weeks before I even notice ANY effects. I feel no benefit whatsoever - not the slightest - till that till the 2nd or 3rd week. After that, it's like a door in my mind has opened. Perhaps a better analogy would be a dirty, cobwebby window has been cleaned & I can see clearly again. Adrafinil is *supposed* to have benefits that continue to increase the first couple of months & that's what I found with myself. I've never gotten past the 2 month mark without running out before. I don't plan to let that happen again so perhaps I can better judge if I continue to feel its benefits for months down the road.

I don't know how Prinivil would affect your reaction to adrafinil, but I know that the Celexa, Synthroid, & occasional Dexedrine I take have no conflicting effects with it.

I'm always surprised when people say they notice an immediate benefit with adrafinil. Supposedly, it's not suppose to work like that, like other stimulants do. It's action is entirely different. So if you can tolerate it & the nausea isn't much of a problem, you should notice a vast improvement "after" a few weeks if it's going to help you. It has the effect of an overall brain function improvement. I take it everyday or else don't benefit.
