I had an interesting experience with Celexa. I took Paxil(which is supposed to help OCD) for 2 weeks I was virtually unable to put one foot in front of the other, I couldn't *remember* how to clean my kitchen - I would wander in my kitchen for hours trying to clean it and it would still be a mess. Then I switched to Celexa - it cleared my thinking immensely, everything snapped back into focus, but so did all of the little OCD annoyances. Personally, I would say that it exacerbated my OCD. My first week on Celexa I reorganized every closet in my house...you know that wiping the dust off of the floorboards in the closet type of thing. I was actually hoping that effect would last a little longer so I could get the rest of my house (& floorboards) clean, but it didn't.

I haven't ever read exactly what Celexa is supposed to treat, but I stopped taking it because it wasn't helping with my anxiety.

Good luck!
Holly
