I don't know, Cindy. I've never taken any other brand of lithium. However, my pdoc selected Lithobid for me because he thought it was the best bet based on my med sensitivity. It works very well for me, but YMMV.

Keep the faith, Cindy. There *IS* something out there that will work for you. My layman's opinion is that the Lamictal/SAM-e combo might do well for you so long as you can tolerate a high enough dose of Lamictal for it to provide adequate mood stabilization. But that's just my opinion.

Recently you were going to try Depakote? Did you? If so, what happened during the trial?
