Wow, what timing, eh John?..heh. I had a *massive* angry/hypomanic outburst tonight, the kind that really scares the living shit of you. This is after day 3 on nortriptyline. I did have this problem once in awhile years ago on the med, but somehow was able to keep it under control. Maybe my mind, body, and my overall 'disease' has changed, as this was just a horrific experience. I haven't had one of these in atleast a few years.

I thought I could get the positive effects of it back I had years ago, and my initial reaction was no where near what this one felt like.

Anyhow...just to let you know I am with you in the quest to find the med/meds..!! Best of luck...

Jay

P.S. May actually get around to trying imipramine. From what it sounds like, it seems to be one of the most 'neutral' meds around, helping both anxiety and depression.

Docs have no explanation, but Colin Wallace had the same thing with amitryptline, but not with imiprimine I believe. Sedating drug problems?? I have no explanation either and am trying to switch so I can help myself. This has been a very difficult problem so I would go for another TCA if I was starting over again. Just some thoughts. take care
