Thanks for the suggestion. I have noticed alot more alertness with 45mg vs. 30mg of Remeron and did not equate the agitation with it, but it makes sense. I was also on Zoloft for about 6 years, and tapered completely off around 5 times during that period. Each time I had to go back on because of depression, and each time had very pronounced hyper effects even at 50mg (I was typically taking 250 mg eventually). It went away after 2 weeks or so but I had to increase very slowly to prevent the always lurking panic attack. At any rate, I doubt very much that it's the Remeron that's solely responsible for the agitation - Zoloft can do it too.
> I also take Remeron. My pdoc has told me that Remeron can cause agitation, especially at higher doses. I just added Zoloft to my meds, but even at 50 mgs. it is already too high, I am agitated and anxious. She told me that I will have to get some of the Remeron out of my system before she can up the Zoloft. Maybe it is the Remeron making you anxious, or the med you are trying interacting with the Remeron. Just an idea.
