> Ron, I am on day 6 of taking 400mg/day of SAM-e. Maybe i should have started at 200mg. Apart from that problem (which do seem to be getting better)I cant really say I have noticed a much in the way of effects, good or bad. Maybe too soon to tell?

In the past I have been on Zoloft, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Remeron and Serzone. My p-doc currently has me on notryptiline, Celexa and Wellbutrin. The nortryptiline is bad news for me and i am going to have to get off it, the Celexa gives me a partial response but i really need to increase my dose, but which kills off my sex life.
> The Wellbutrin was added again in hopes of mediating the adverse effects of the Nortryptilne and Celexa. A few people have reported good luck with sam-e so i thought i wuold give it a try. You have been taking for more than 5 months so it must be working for you, right? How long untill you noticed benefits?
------------------------Dave,
Yes, SAM-e is working well for me. Recently I've been experiencing some irritability (flash rage) symptoms that I suspect are attributable to too much SAM-e. But, overall, SAM-e saved my life. For me, the beneficial effects of SAM-e began almost immediately (i.e. within the first few days). I will get this irritability problem figured out. Best wishes in your endeavors!
