I don't think that if you care as much as you seem to that there can be too much help. I look back now and wish I had more attention from others to my problems. I know now that part of my problem was that I went through it alone. You can be very helpful without being pushy by doing just what you are doing - being aware of his symptoms and encouraging him to keep getting help when times seem bad. Plus, do your best to make sure that he does take his meds as prescribed. The right ones help eventually.
