Passiflora, skull-cap, kava, noni & hops are all recommended herbs. Be aware that you need to check with a pharmacist for possible drug interactions with other meds & some herbs can have potentially harmful long-term effects.
You also need to know that herbs aren't regulated by any governmental agency & what you buy doesn't necessarily contain the amounts specified on the label or even any active ingredients whatsoever. It can be difficult to find a truly reliable brand & you need to do your homework thoroughly before you buy.
Even buying a reputable brand with active ingredients, the effects of herbs *tend* to be milder than meds & may not work as well as you hoped for. I used to manage a health food store & know there's as much hype with health foods & supplements as there is in any other business.
