Nikki, what sort of help does he wish? My oldest son is 26 & he has Asperger's too. It's not like there's a medication that can be taken to stop it as there's been found to be differences in actual brain structure - small differences but enough to cause it.

My son needs an AD for his depression but over time (& realisation of what it was he had that made him different), he's learned to embrace his difference & use it to the full. It doesn't mean he still doesn't have difficulties in social context but he's developed strategies (with my help & suggestions) to overcome these difficulties. Both him & I have come to see how positive Asperger's can be if handled correctly.

I'd be more than glad to send you more information or specific suggestions, if you'd send specific questions too.
