Suma Root for anxiety?

Posted by verne on February 26, 2002, at 0:04:06

I must be desperate. Digging deeper in my herb books, I discovered that Suma Root (Brazilian Ginseng) is used for anxiety.

I've taken it for 3 days - especially at night - and it seems to be calming without a lot of side effects. Puts me in a kind of dreamy meditative state. (anywhere but Iowa)

My pdoc won't prescribe benzos and I can't handle the politically correct drugs like seroquil, zyprexa or neurotin so it's back to experimenting with leaves and roots.

Anyone else been down this road?
