Brother is a self-medicator who was addicted to cocaine, and has also enjoyed the effects of "downers" as well. He has been off cocaine for 10 years. The Neurontin seemed to help his anxiety, but I believe it might have worsened the depression.

What do you think? Also, while he was taking the chemotherapy he was prescribed percodan for the painful side effects. I think he enjoyed the percodan a little too much, but if it relieved some of the pain from the Interferon and enabled him to continue working, the fact that he enjoyed it should be ok, right?

Carly,
My older brother was also diagnosed hep. c. You said your brother was in remission. What did he do to get in remission? I am very interested because we are so worried about him. Also, what were his symptoms? Thank you in advance.
