My doctor told me that he never prescribes Serzone, he said that he didn't like the results he got with it. Although he said I could try it if my sexual side effects didn't get better with Wellbutrin. Obviously I won't be going near the stuff now, so Thanks for your warning.

Did I miss it? I found a few references on the web; already quite a few lawyers are jumping on the bandwagon with websites advertising their services for anyone who has taken Serzone. I had to write out a statement for my pdoc to the effect that I have been notified by him of the FDA warning & choose to continue taking the Serzone anyway. He insisted on liver function bloodwork the same day & wants to repeat it every other month and even suggested we might one day think of switching antidepressants. I've been on 400mg a day for a year now and have taken Serzone more than any other antidepressant for the last 4 yrs.

Yes, I am looking for another antidepressant. The problem is that I've been on every SSRI except Luvox with bad results because of resulting mania/hypomania. Any suggestions would be very welcome. I am BP I (looks like II to some pdocs because of PMDD; the PMDD is what necessitates an antidepressant of some kind). I have Spring/Summer mania/hypomania and Fall/Winter depression (SADD?) also; can't afford a light box. The Serzone has never fully helped, but it's the only one that hasn't sent me into twilight zone. Thanks.
