> Anna, isn't there some other MAOI that your doctor could put you on without the antipsychotics in it?Unfortunately Nardil has been withdrawn from the market. The only MAOI i could try are the latest generation MAOIS (RIMAS) like Moclobemide. I'm waiting to find a pdoc i feel comfortable with before taking it. I'm not so irresponsible and reckless of danger as some people on this board are trying to say.
I just followed the prescriptions my pdoc gave me this summer when i was put on effexor: in fact he put me on effexor full dosage after ten days. May be i didn't consider some psychological implications since i've been put under a lot of pressure lately (my mother's fianceé has been diagnosed with cancer and i just found out my father is going to have an illegitimate son); sure the situation is different from this summer when i was waiting quite for the effexor to kick at my mother's house in the country, the only worry being to watch after her dogs!
> And have you ever tried Celexa?I've tried Zoloft and Prozac but they don't seem activating enough my main problem being anhedonia. My pdoc told me that since i didn't respond properly to these two meds it was unlikely for me to respond to some other med in the SSRI category.
I've been considering viloxazine, a serotonine enhancer which seems more activating then the other SSRIs (it lacks of anticholinergics effects and doesn't seem to cause sexual disfunction).
But again, wanna see a pdoc first before taking it.
I've been thinking about Adafrinil but it's not on the market yet. We've got Modafinil here though.
If you want to post me, i'll tell you where i live. Thanks for answering
