I figured this was important for me to say...in the past I have been on Lithobid, Lamictal, Depakote, and Topomax....Again, for 'me', none of these 'mood stablilers' worked for me. Taking the Effexor WORKED on my moods though, and the Zyprexa keeps me 'grounded' so to speak. (Don't forget here...I am bi-polar too.)
There was one post that said with BPD'ers the therapy was important...IT IS, IT IS...but you have to be in a somewhat 'stabile' place before you can really dedicate yourself to the therapy-whatever therapy it may be...That is where the meds. come in.
