Ben, all SSRIs can cause elevated liver enzymes levels & just because previous ones haven't doesn't mean a new one wouldn't. What it does mean is that Paxil may be one that does affect your liver.

If the liver is unable to properly break down the drug into its metabolites, it can end up damaging the individual liver cells causing the increase in enzyme levels.

Has anything else changed in your environment or diet that might be the casue or contribute to the higher levels? Many, many different chemicals & drugs can affect the liver - acetaminophen (Tylenol) is one of the worse. Personally, I increased my vitamin C intake with a time-release supplement. Also one of the professors at my college said that many people don't realise that they need to increase their water intake when taking meds & not just for their kidneys.

I'd suggest stopping the Paxil & trying a different one. Make sure your liver is checked through the change too.
