Hey there -

I've been on Celexa (10 mgs./day) for GAD and panic attacks for just over two weeks and have decided to discontinue use immediately... I've experienced a HUGE amount of anxiety and strange sensations that I've found unnerving (as usual, these sensations are almost impossible to put into words and describe effectively). I also have been taking Xanax on an as needed basis (which has been very rarely), however, I find that I am now taking up to 1 mg. a day to relax - and that barely has an effect (normally that much would have put me immediately to sleep...)

I had great success with Paxil. The only reason I discontinued was for weight gain. If my panic symptoms don't subside, I'd be willing to put up with that, as I was truly panic-free on this medication.

Of course, personal responses will vary to each and every medication. Celexa may be a wonder drug for you, I know it has been for others!

Good Luck,
Daniel
