> Help! For the past few days now (with no sign of it letting up), I've been feeling very lightheaded, spacey, anxious, nervous, unable to concentrate, social anxiety (not wanting to face people, feeling uncomfortable in what are familiar places that I used to love going to), and more tired or drained than usual. Even driving has become a challenge. I have to really concentrate on being alert. It has been three weeks that I have NOT been on an SSRI a-d (after being on one or another of them for the first time in years) ... instead my pdoc is trying to have me on Lamictal instead (recent diagnosis of BiPolarII). I also take Zyprexa+Klonopin at night for sleeping.

I'd just like some ideas and feedback here - is what I've described more likely to be depression or anxiety or perhaps both (like an anxious/agitated depression)?

I have tried to stop SSRI's three or four times and I can't seem to do without one either. My mood cycling gets more stable, but I feel flat, unemotional, and uninterested in being around people. If I do get out I feel real uncomfortable, too. Maybe you have social anxiety as a comorbid condition with your BPII? You may need the SSRI for the anxiety disorder.
