One thing you might want to keep in mind is that a lot of the folks who gravitate here are people who are having some difficulties with their meds -- be it side effects, not getting the type of relief they are wanting, etc. People who are having great relief with their meds don't tend to seek out advice -- hence, don't find psycho-babble to post.
That said, while there are negative posts about some of the meds, there are positive posts also. I think any person has to read broadly. For instance, I found this board because I was seeking information on topamax. I read every post on this med -- I could have been negatively influenced if I had just read the first couple -- they were quite negative. But overall, I realized that it was a medicine that could possible work well for me. The reader has to be patient.
