Hi.

The dose of Effexor XR ranges from 75 mg. all the way up to 600 mg! Hypertension is seen in 20% of patients who take a dose of 400 mg. or higher according to statistics provided by my pdoc. According to my pdoc 225 mg. is a dose that may help those who have not reached a point of remission or who have a relapse of their symptoms on a lowe dose. When I bumped my dose up from 150 mg. to 225 mg. I really noticed a great improvement in energy, mood, etc. :) Anne
