Jah, while I had had some cognitive dulling in the beginning (very briefly), once I was above 125 mg/day +/-, I did not have such. In fact, when the topamax (stupamax is what I've heard) was workin' fine for me, I was definitely as sharp intellectually as I really should be. It was quite strange, but it worked as monotherapy for me quite amazingly (first time I felt good in years) until ... I experienced an intolerable and rare side effect (receding gums).

Anyway, everyone responds differently and has different needs. I would presume it's worth a shot for you.

[currently, 225 mg/day effexor and 150 mg/2X/day wellbutrin with pretty good response thus far!]
