Just a few comments.
1.) As an alcoholic, I justified my drinking as self-medication for my depression. When I quit drinking, an amazing fact came to light: I was depressed because I drank, not the other way around.2.) Last year, my son's best friend died in his sleep when he aspirated (drowned in vomit) after drinking and taking Ativan. There was not a lethal amount of alcohol or medication in his system, but the Ativan repressed his body's natural involuntary response to wake up or turn over when he began to choke.
As best as you can, practice moderation in all things.
