Hate to sound the contrite here, but I personally disagree that Zyprexa is the "gold standard" for anything unless one is bipolar. Prozac may well have been the first SSRI on the market, but it has been supplanted by the second and third generation meds. It worked well for a while, and God knows it was exponentially better for me than the tricyclics, but it pooped out after a few years. Increasing dosing only resulted in sexual disfunction. There is a med called Provigil that is a stimulating AD, but I don't think docs like using it as it shares qualities associated with amphetameines (hey, but they have no trouble srtinging kids out on Ritalin and Adderal!!!). Wellbutrin does work, but if the side effects were that troubling ,I guess it doesn't work for YOU. You could give it another shot at 100mg SR x 2.
