My daughter was diagnosed with complex partial seizures in 1986. SHe ws on tegretol for years and still had breakthrough seizures. AFter much researching, I found a doc who prescribed felbatol and she hasn't had a seizure since 1993.

Felabtol is a great drug, but the problem is that
a few years after it came out, it was practically banned because some people died from it. However, we researched it with an epilepsy specialist and the people who died were also on many other drugs such as chemotherapy. In any case, we signed a release and she has her blood work done and she has been totally fine.
