Hi Dave,
Yes, from what I've read it's not to be taken with any AD, especially SSRIs. Possibility of Serotonin Syndrome, a very bad situation. My interest in 5-HTP is primarily that I'm looking for some help with mild depression without the unwanted side effects of ADs. I think my current depression is a result of taking the beta blocker, Atenolol for HBP. I'm hoping I can modify this drug or change to another type of med for Hypertension. The BB works well in controlling my BP and a high resting heart rate. But I hate the depression.
