I think you have to take on more personal responsibility here than with any other kind of doctor and you have to do it when you're least able. Why lie? It's hard enought to make sure that you don't accidentally misunderstand each other. You have nothing but ambiguous words to describe your symptoms but the price of getting it wrong is very high. You can either end up with one of those "heavy duty" drugs that also has heavy duty side effects or you can do without the drug that you really do need and live with the misery of a heavy duty illness. It's so much easier to go in and say "My arm hurts - please X ray it".

Good points ! It comes down to, do you want to get well or do you want to pay to play games ?
