It is my understanding that only seroternergic drugs, particularly Clomipramine and certain SSRI's are effective for the anxiety disorder Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and the benzodiazepines are of little use. But for panic disorder, both the benzodiazepines and SSRI'S are effective. I would be interested to hear from people who suffer OCD and their experience with the benzodiazepines for this mental health problem.
